ettercap-NG-0.7.3 a gg dissector

Witam!
od początku:
Mam ubuntu 8.04 na kernelu 2.6.24-21. Ściągnąłem ze strony ettercapa paczkę ettercap-NG-0.7.3.tar.gz, rozpakowałem wszedłem do katalogu i zabieram się za czytanie. Na pierwszy ogień README potem INSTALL. W INSTALL poprosili mnie o wykonanie poniższych komend:

./configure
make
make isntall

Configure wykonało sie bez błędów, ale niestety wykonując make wystąpił bład:

make: *** Nie podano obiektów i nie znaleziono makefile. Stop.

No to odpalam

man make

Trochę poczytawszy szukam pliku Makefile. Wpisuje w konsole

ls

znajduje 4 pliki Makefile:

Makefile.am
Makefile.am.common
Makefile.in
Makefile.mingw.in

Dalsza lektura 'man make' doprowadza do wpisania komendy:'make -f ...." i wszystkie 4 nazwy plików. Niestety wyskakują błedy.

Wkurzony odpalam synaptica i szukam pod hasłem ettercap, ku memu zdziwieniu znajduje go i oczywiście installuje. Ettercap odpala się piknie - kupe zabawy z nim.

No ale przychodzi sedno sprawy installacja gg dissectora. Jak autor zaznacza na http://ettercap-gg.sourceforge.net/ są dwa sposoby instalacji:
1) poprzez doinstalowanie patcha i skompilowanie ettercapa ponownie
2) instalacja z paczki rpm
Jako, że nie potrafie kompilować ettercapa wybieram tą drugą opcje. Ściągam paczke .rpm, programem alien zamieniam ją na *.deb komenda

alien -k ettercap-NG-0.7.3-gg_dissector_02.i386.rpm

dwuklik i instaluje. Instalacja kończy się niepowodzeniem z wynikiem:

dpkg-deb: podproces paste został zabity sygnałem (Broken pipe)

Proszę o pomoc ponieważ nie wiem co dalej robić. Komendy podane przez autora dissectora na http://ettercap-gg.sourceforge.net/ do instalacji ręcznej patcha nie działają(już pierwsza wywala błąd):

oczywiście te komendy są odpalane w katalogu rozpakowanej paczki ettercapa do której wkopiowany został uprzednio patch.

ale za dużo to nie pomaga.
Napisze maila do autora, ale to było prawie półtora roku temu.
Ma ktoś może jakieś pomysły jak to uruchomić, bądź robił to kiedykolwiek? Ma ktoś jakieś pomysły jak skompliować ettercapa z konsoli żeby wszystko grało? może jakaś mała pomoc co do komendy 'make'? Ogólnie proszę o pomoc!

pierwsze co to zainstalowałem wymagane biblioteki i do ettercapa i gg dissectora...instalowałem je głownie z synaptica, a jeśli czegoś nie wiedziałem to zaraz sprawdzałem w google, ogólnie instalowałem więcej bibliotek jeśli było potrzeba. Właściwie to miałem problemy z GTK+ bo nie wiedziałem czy instalować GTK1 czy GTK2, ale zresztą te biblioteki, które wymieniłeś są wymagane przez ettercapa, a on mi śmiga pięknie, nawet graficzne GUI, także chyba to nie to.

Wydaje mi się, że ja po prostu robię coś, źle podczas kompilacji. Zresztą configure powinno chyba sprawdzić wszystkie biblioteki, a nie wywaliło żadnego błędu.

A zna ktoś komendy jak sprawdzić czy dane biblioteki mam zainstalowane, bo może coś mi się pomyliło i czegoś przypadkiem nie zainstalowałem.

Odnosnie recznego aplikowana patcha

oczywiście te komendy są odpalane w katalogu rozpakowanej paczki ettercapa do której wkopiowany został uprzednio patch.

I tu wlasnie robisz blad. Patch i polecenie maja byc w katalogu nadrzednym. Czyli jesli ettercap jest w np /home/progs/ettercap, to patch i komenda w katalogu /home/progs

Zas co do instalacji, przyjrzyj sie dokladnie co wypisuje configure, bo chyba jednak nie przechodzi prawidlowo skoro nie tworzy tego wlasciwiego Makefile.

Więc jednak mieliście racje że czegoś brakuje,,,
Ale, ale... synaptic pokazuje, że mam zainstalowaną libnet6-1.3-0.
To jest to samo? Czy wtedy muszę odinstalować i zainstalować jakąś starszą bibliotekę. W wymaganiach pisze, że mogę mieć nowsze wersje.

Chodzilo o to, ze potrzebujesz nie tylko wspoldzielona biblioteke (binarke) ale rowniez czesc developerska (naglowki i moze jakies zrodla).

EDIT:

No więc tak, zainstalowałem ettercapa, odpaliłem go no i niestety działa gorzej niż przedtem. Ilość pakietów opuszczonych wynosi jakieś 98%, co przy 0% przedtem coś musi być nie tak. Nie wiem, na dziś już mam dosyć. Ale jedno pytanie: instalując program z innym ustawieniami na jedną wersje już zainstalowaną to czy będzie działał poprawnie? Słyszałem, że pod linuchem tak słodko nie jest jak pod łindą z takim sprawami i trzeba odinstalować program, tylko pytanie jak go odinstalować? z Synaptica?

Co dokladnie zmieniales w pliku etter.conf po instalacji ? Jakiego polecenia i parametrow uzywasz w lini polecen, aby uruchomic ettercapa ?
